Not really long enough to go diagonally over a person's body unless they're very small, but fits very comfortable off one shoulder. I don't keep a lot in my purse, just my phone, wallet and a few cosmetics, and this is the exact perfect size for that.HOWEVER, please, PLEASE, use the zipper bag for anything smaller than a cell phone. If not, they WILL fall out. I absolutely guarantee it. There are small gaps when the bag is closed that are just big enough for a lip gloss to slip through. That's the main reason I'm taking one star off-- many times I've gone out only to find my lipstick fell out before I left.
