The clips themselves are not as large as others I own; the length of the cord is adequate. The spring in the clips feels adequate although not as tight as others I own.I have an entry level BG mask and these clips have come off my mask several times during bouts when I've attached the clip to the upper frame of my mask rather than the bib. The clip came off my mask twice in a recent DE bout and I'm not a highly energetic fencer. For this reason, I'm not sure that I would use these in another rated event but I have no problem using them in club bouts and progressives.So far, they are holding up well. I had an eight dollar cord I bought new from the club break after just a couple bouts (the solder was bad on it).
