A: This one has lasted well, about a year. But really, if your hernia has been so long, you should nag your doctor for treatment.

A: The widest part of the belt measures 23 CM.

**Q: What’s is made of? I’d it elasticated?**
A: The belt is made of neoprene and contains plastic splints and velcro.  The belt is elastic in order to provide compression to the abdominal area.

**Q: Can i use this to do sit ups as i have a hernia at the moment**
A: 'A hernia' does not give sufficient information. What kind of hernia? If you have an abdomnial hernia sit-ups, crunches, planks are a no go ... whay should you do excercises further damaging the injury of your abdomnial wall? Avoid all excercises increasing abdomnial pressure. Its like 'jumping on a broken leg is ok when wearing a cast'.

I have a large umbilical hernia and another medical condition which means surgeons don’t want to fix it until they absolutely have to as the operation would be life threatening. Therefore I’ve had to live with the hernia for three and a half years waiting for my medical condition to improve. I have tried many belts that have all proved uncomfortable and struggle to retain the hernia. This one is comfortable and actually works. Very happy to have bought it. It’s a little bulky and if you want to wear skinny fit t shirts then you can notice it. However if you wear something more baggy you can’t see it. At the end of the day you have a hernia, you are not going to win a body beautiful contest. Very good product.
