However, the effects I would actually use are few. I wish I would have read it first to find out that only 2-3 of them were in my tastes. I didn't deduct any stars for that, because that is not the book's fault. It does a great job for what it is. This book really only shows oil recipes, and I try to avoid oil paint these days. I have done many faux finishes with acrylic. Also, the Trompe L'oeil section is too limited and the flower is not at all realistic. Maybe tried to cover too much in one little book.
