The hand rail makes one feel safer as well as ease of use. They are not to heavy. I did have an issue with the tray at the top of the ladder. I believe it to have been damaged in transit. I had a replacement dispatch to me the same day. Full marks for after care service. Review: Nice and light - Well made and nice and light so makes it easy to carry and position however I do personally feel that it is less stable than I was expecting due to it being so light. As others have found I did have to drill holes to fix the hand rails as the holes supplied did not align, no real problem though. Hand rails plus support above the platform to make it super safe at height. Needed it to safely trim the top of hedge.
