And WOW are they right!This pomade is unlike anything I've ever used before. It has the consistency of a cream or very soft butter. So you would figure that with that type of easy scoupability and ease of putting it in your hair (no tugging or pulling) it wouldn't hold well. Well, you'd be really wrong.Not only is this the easiest pomade I've ever scooped or put into my hair, but its holding power is magnificent. And, it's not one of those glue like gels that hardens your hair. Your hair stays pretty soft and workable if you need to restyle.Well done guys. We can't decide which one we like best. The original is more like a sticky cream, whereas the black cat is solid, like most pomades are. Both products are sticky, as pomades should be, yet without a weird residue. These products work great for short pixie cuts as well as for longer short cuts. My teenage son likes that it holds his style all day long. I think that the cream vs. the pomade would be a personal preference thing. The smell is very natural and pleasant and it doesn't freak anyone's skin out. We have very sensitive skin in our family. It also washes out very easily. I usually don't write reviews unless I am blown away and I have to say that this product has been wonderful. I've tried Shiner Gold, Layrite, Uppercut- you name it and I've used it... This is on another level and I love that I am supporting a small business that makes these in batches. It holds very well and can handle the weight of my heavy of my hair for all day hold. It also has a great aroma that isn't very overwhelming but noticeable. One thing I will say is that it isn't very viscous and the first time I tried it, I doubted whether it would be able to last all day, but it has truly surprised me. As long as these guys make a quality product at a good value, I'll keep supporting.
