If "enlightenment is smelling coffee for the very first time", for me it was probably smelling shea butter for the first time. I don't remember a time I didn't use this stuff.So I've researched shea butter to death, more than average person who loves shea butter.The Elitist name of this shea butter aside, I love this brand of shea butter for it's the truth.I've used a bunch of shea butter claiming to be natural this or natural that.One good test I use is to (and I live in the New York, 25 - 80 degrees year round temperature) make sure the "butter" arrives hard. This ensures that the natural shea butter hasn't been cut with other additives to increase the volume or make it "workable", easy to spread, that sort of thing.I leave the butter in shower or better still pour a jar of boiling water over it and let it sit for a while.The thing just melts and sits there for a while. When it solidifies, it does so in a workable form. That how I have the real stuff.I've used my first tub for about a month now and still have plenty to go. I love it and will definitely be buying more.I tried shea butter recipes that litter the web, but I keep coming back to the raw, uncut thing.
