### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Five Stars
*by D***K on March 12, 2016*

This book provided insight into chess & some of it's history.

### ⭐⭐⭐ Lots of errors
*by A***Z on November 27, 2014*

I had heard great things about the Linders' scholarship, but I was disappointed to find that this book has a lot of errors. Worst of all, they are often sloppy errors. For example, on page 63 it states that at Baden-Baden 1870 "for the first time ever ... draws counted as a half-point." So then how can it be that on page 62 we're told that at Dundee 1867 Neumann beat Steinitz by a half point?
