In the past, caterers would offer a porcelain or plastic Asian spoon with hors d'oeuvres atop it for their guest's enjoyment. The Edible Asian Spoon's creator, Jack Milan, always saw this as an inconvenience for the guest. In one hand, the guest held their beverage glass; In another, the Asian spoon. Guests had to wait for a server to come around in order to dispose of the spoon. It is because of these circumstances that the Edible Asian Spoon was born.
