I bought this along with a digital coaxial cable which did the trick! The only thing that almost tripped me up is that this needs a power source. The cable is included, you just need a spare USB wall plug. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Works very well *by M***R on 14 July 2018* Works like a charm. My Sony Blu-ray player has only a digital coaxial output for audio, which was previously connected to my soundbar. After switching to another audio system, I could not connect it. Now the audio goes from the player into this little converter and RCA into the subwoofer of my new sound system. I had to change the setting on the player to output PCM audio or it just makes a noise. The player also has a USB port which is enough to power the device, no need for a wall plug. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellent product can be used with Sky Q box. *by Y***I on 15 February 2019* Was switching to Sky Q and after arranging noticed that their was no red/white RCA sockets to the box. However it does have optical link and usb sockets. My wife whom is hard of hearing utilises wireless headphones when viewing tv. This alerted me to a possible problem. Saw this and purchased arrived extremely quickly. It has the necessary cables required beside the unit itself. I do have on my tv(LG 40”) various sockets so decided to utilise the optical out and its USB port. Plugged in and connected to the red and white rca headphone plugs hey presto it worked. Had to switch sound to internal speakers plus optical out on tv menu.Decided to leave the headphones plugged into the tv. I am quite certain that these will also be able to utilise the optical out socket and usb socket on the Sky Q box. Reason left in tv is that beside Sky have prime video and plugged into tv me wife can now listen to all services. If plugged into Sky Q or other Sky boxes you can only hear the Sky service programmes.
