The last two bikes I have owned were supplied with Vittoria Corsa Pro, and I swapped to GP5000 (28mm) within a couple of weeks each time. These win hands down on all levels - particularly comfort, performance (speed, grip), and puncture-protection (it is so rare to get a puncture with these, whereas I had punctures almost immediately with the Vittoria tyres). I’ve never had any issue getting these on carbon rims as other reviewers have mentioned - I use a Crank Brothers speedier tyre lever which helps. Thoroughly recommend these. Review: Best of the best - I bought 2 of these for my bike which 1 initially had a rip in the tyre but got them swiftly replaced with no issues at all. I had ridden over glass and no damage or puncture at all. They are the best of the best - highly recommend. Also a noticeable different in speed! Great quality tyres just buy them. ## Features - Black Chili Rubber: remixed for improved rolling resistance and better mileage, while also maintaining grip - Laser etched mould has created a tire with a more porous texture for greater cornering grip - Laser Grip: Tread areas passed over with a powerful laser, roughing up the surface of the tire, for improved grip - Active Comfort Casing: Elastomeric layer provides Increased stiffness and damping characteristic in the sidewall allows lower tire pressure and greater cornering - Casing: 3-layer/330 TPI. 12% lower rolling resistance. 20% more puncture resistance ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B07K8XN48B | | Best Sellers Rank | 2,122 in Sports & Outdoors ( See Top 100 in Sports & Outdoors ) 1 in Tyres (Sports & Outdoors) | | Bike Type | Hybrid Bike | | Bike type | Hybrid Bike | | Brand | Continental | | Brand Name | Continental | | Colour | Black | | Customer Reviews | 4.6 out of 5 stars 6,733 Reviews | | Global Trade Identification Number | 04019238007848 | | Included Components | no, racing Tires | | Item Diameter | 700 Millimetres | | Item Type Name | Folding Bike Tyre | | Item Weight | 0.24 Kilograms | | Item Width | 28 Millimetres | | Item diameter | 700 Millimetres | | Item width | 28 Millimetres | | Manufacturer | Continental | | Manufacturer Part Number | C1024128 | | Manufacturer Warranty Description | producer | | Material Type | Rubber | | Model Number | 1012845500 | | Number of Items | 1 | | Size | 700 x 28 | | Tread Type | Directional | | Tyre Type | Clincher | | Tyre type | Clincher | | Unit Count | 1.0 count | | Warranty Type | Limited | | Warranty type | Limited | | Wheel Size | 700 Millimetres | ## Product Details - **Bike type:** Hybrid Bike - **Brand:** Continental - **Global Trade Identification Number:** 04019238007848 - **Item diameter:** 700 Millimetres - **Item width:** 28 Millimetres - **Material:** Rubber - **Number of items:** 1 - **Size:** 700X28C - **Tyre type:** Clincher - **Warranty type:** Lifetime ## Images ![Continental Grand Prix 5000 Road Bike Tyres - Allrounder Clincher Bicycle Tyre | Versatile Road and Track Cycle Tyre with BlackChili Compound, Lazer Grip and Vectran Technology - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71WP68MSOFL.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Color, Size** options. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The best tyres! *by M***T on 5 March 2026* Love these - the best tyres as far as I’m concerned. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Best of the best *by M***I on 6 May 2025* I bought 2 of these for my bike which 1 initially had a rip in the tyre but got them swiftly replaced with no issues at all. I had ridden over glass and no damage or puncture at all. They are the best of the best - highly recommend. Also a noticeable different in speed! Great quality tyres just buy them. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Feeble side walls *by D***L on 27 May 2025* Bought these in 25mm last September to replace Schwalbe 23s to get a more comfortable ride. Big mistake, maybe they grip slightly better and are definitely lighter, but on crappy Scottish roads with loose chippings the feeble side wall has already ripped apart after less than 500 miles. If you’re going to ride in the UK I would suggest a more substantial tyre. ## Frequently Bought Together - Continental Grand Prix 5000 Performance Road Bike Tire - Continental Race 28 700x20-25c Bicycle Inner Tubes - 42mm Long Presta Valve - 2 Pack - Continental Race 28" Wide 700x25-32c Inner Tubes - 42mm Presta Valve (Pack of 2 w/Conti Sticker) --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.tn/products/88869044-continental-grand-prix-5000-road-bike-tyres-allrounder-clincher-bicycle](https://www.desertcart.tn/products/88869044-continental-grand-prix-5000-road-bike-tyres-allrounder-clincher-bicycle) --- *Product available on Desertcart Tunisia* *Store origin: TN* *Last updated: 2026-10-22*
