I did have to remove them so the pup didn't get ahold of them. These are really just rawhides, I couldn't find any difference. However prior to buying these I did check to make sure they did not contain Formaldehyde which has been used previously and can be very harmful. They don't give my dog diarrhea like the bulk rolls at walmart(from foreign country). They do have a stain to them in case you're worried about light colored carpet, but it's not very noticeable. I barley saw it in sunlight and came out with our carpet cleaner. Last a good long time. They aren't the cheap hollow chew rolls. Our 70lb heavy chewer it takes a few hours straight to get through. He's also pickey and loves the flavor on these. Our 35lb heavy chewer it takes about twice as long. But we usually only allow them about an hour and then save the rest for another day. Two thumbs. I can’t attest to the taste but he seems to like them.HOWEVER- the brown color is not IN the rawhide itself, just kind of painted on it. It stains his white paws and whatever he happens to be chewing the rawhide on.
