Just make sure you do the following: 1. get this brand (cheaper versions are poor quality copies); 2. soak your feet in nice warm water for at least thirty minutes, longer if you can, before sticking them in the gel filled booties (seems excessive but this makes a big difference in efficacy); Wear the booties for the full length of time advised in the directions (I add fifteen minutes on top of that),; 3. wait up to six days - don't get discouraged - your feet WILL shed like a snake! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ How is this stuff not more popular? It is AMAZING!!! *by A***G on December 18, 2014* I did a TON of research on this product before trying it. The before and after pictures I found online kind of grossed me out, but after hearing all of the positive results, I gave it a try. This is the MOST INCREDIBLE product for your feet! I don't know how it isn't more popular than it is! The entire process takes about 2 weeks. After wearing the gel booties for an hour, you wash your feet off and wait for the magic to begin. Within 5 to 7 days my feet began to molt. When I say molt, I mean MOLT! The thick layers of skin that literally fell off looked like it should have hurt, but it was totally and completely painless. I had tried getting the same results with a pumice bar, a foot rasp and a Pedi Egg (all of which left my feet painfully sore and irritated without the results I was looking for). With Baby Foot, the amount of skin that fell off my feet was totally gross, but what was left underneath was soft, smooth baby fresh skin. I have never seen anything like this before in my life. If you want the softest feet you've had since you were an infant, then use this stuff. It is a life changer! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I do this twice a year to maintain soft callous free feet and smooth heels. *by M***H on December 19, 2018* First off, having tried both, I think the regular works better than the lavender scented version. The lavender seems to need another application to get equal results.I have been using this product for several years now. The first time my results were astounding. So much dead skin peeled off of my feet it was downright embarrassing. If you are older, shower all the time and don't soak, don't get regular pedicures you will probably see the most results. Really though, its not the amount of peeling but the final results that count. Since I have been using this twice a year, I don't have as much peeling every time- but that is the whole point. Maintaining smooth healthy feet is my goal.Here are some things I wish I'd known when I tried BF for the first time:1)Don't expect immediate results. It took nine days the first time for the tops of my toes to start peeling, but the underside soon followed in a big way. It took about ten more days for my feet finally to stop peeling. I've had the process last more than a month. Plan ahead and be very patient.2) Don't do this unless you can wear socks every day to catch the dead skin. Don't do it in summertime or when you are about to go on a cruise or tropical vacation. Don't do it if you have a wedding or other event that you want to attend in open toes or evening sandals. During the peeling your bare feet will look like the stars in a horror movie.3) To start soak your feet in water as warm as you can stand to soften up your callouses. I try to soak at least half an hour changing out the water to keep it hot. This seems to help with penetration into the layers. Also it gets my feet nice and clean before using the gel, which is important because I keep it for reuse- but more on that later.4) Don't try to walk around in those booties! Seriously, your foot slips in the gel on the plastic. It is disorienting, very unstable, and dangerous. Be careful to always wear socks over the booties. They help a lot with traction and stability, but what is better still is not have to walk anywhere once you put the booties on. Instead, use the bathroom first. Make sure your phone, remotes, a drink, munchies, a timer, paper towels-everything else you think you might need is right there within arms reach. Then put your bootied feet up on a towel covered foot stool and watch TV or read a good book. Let that gel do its thing. I leave mine on for a whole hour. Then when my timer dings I wipe my feet off with my handy paper towels and stick my still slightly gelled feet into the socks I wore ( just in case) over my booties. I don't want to find out what that gel would do to my carpets. Then I go wash my feet again, water hot as is comfortable and plain old soap- with no oils or moisturizers.5) You can put the used booties in a zip lock bag and stick them in your freezer. The gel is active again when thawed out. Sometimes one application isn't quite enough to penetrate the really deep hard calluses. Lots of dead skin comes off- in flakes or sheets- but after all the peeling stops certain areas though improved are not yet baby soft. It is nice if you don't have to buy a whole new kit just to get better results. I manage to get three uses out of my booties after which there hasn't been enough gel left in there to justify me freezing it again for yet a fourth attempt. I've god pretty big feet though. Maybe others will be better at conserving the gel that I am? I'm not sure if the potency was effected by freezing or not but I did see additional peeling with every use. Personally, I like to wait at least two weeks preferably a month to give my feet a rest before starting another peel.6) After using BF, don't moisturize again until all the peeling is completely over because it impedes what you are trying to accomplish. Don't pull on peeling skin. If it is causing discomfort walking, take care to remove what is already detached with a scissor. Don't force peel skin from your foot or you will hurt yourself. You don't need a foot wound on top of all that activity already is going on down there.7) BF has helped us with problems more important than having rough feet. The build up of hard skin around my nail seemed to be a big factor in the tendency for my big toenail to in-grow . Once the build up of old dead skin was gone in the corner of the nail, my toenail sorted itself. I haven't had ingrowth again since I started using BF regularly. Also, I am a twice daily fitness runner and noticed an improvement after getting rid of old calluses- old as in they had been there since my preteen skating rink days in the 1970s. Also my husband's recurring athletes foot problem literally peeled itself off never to be seen again.
