:-) *by D***E on Reviewed in the United States on October 10, 2016* love these socks! specifically;• great, low cut fit and feel• easy to slide over toes• no pressure points around the ankle at the elastic trim at the top of sock• a moderate, comfortable compression around arch, which is a very nice attribute, both for performance and comfort• very well made & good quality control (six (6) identical, well-made and equally well performing socks)• very durable and, hence, long lasting (13jul17 update)• lastly, a beautiful green color...• very comfortable - i could wear them all day through all night and forget i have them on… they are THAT comfortable and feel THAT wonderful...if you are not new to toes socks and are one who understands the concept and purpose of toe socks, then these are a must have in your drawer!for those unfamiliar with toe socks, please consider the following;• your toes sweat and stick together with regular socks, which is often the root cause in cold toes, and, subsequent, cold feet.• though it seems counterintuitive, as we all know that mittens are generally warmer than gloves with your fingers together, rather than separate, keeping them warm, the difference is that fingers do not sweat like toes do. so, when it comes to toes and the ever present sweating of toes, it is the opposite to fingers and when you keep your toes separated, it enables them to be dry (due to no toe-toe contact) and allows for a dryer feeling and a more comfortable experience.• most importantly, toe socks are excellent as a cold weather base layer, as they keep your sweaty toes from touching and getting cold due to sweaty toe to sweaty toe contact. also, these Fascot socks, though cotton, have a unique weave, such that they “wick" exceptionally well and, thus, keep your toes and feet warm... though these are not polypropylene, which is normally, by far, the best base layer due to polypropylene's wicking ability…the weave on these socks do result in exceptional wicking and, as such, these socks dry out very fast.• though these are outstanding socks, they are not my favorite for cold weather cycling (10 - 30°F)... in this case you need excellent wicking toe socks and an excellent wicking base layer top & bottom.in the ~10-30°F case, i found the Injinji to be the best and below, you will find a few links.• note - in the case of cycling, you still need windproof toe covers for your shoes, but the wicking toe socks will do wonders to keeping your feet warm by handling the sweating and keeping your toes and, subsequently, your feet warm...• so, with less ado, below are some great wicking toe socks and for tops & bottoms, Helly Hansen polypropylene LIFA make the very best top & bottom base layer for any very active, cold weather athletic activity…you can find HH polypro LIFA from many sellers on Amazon.regarding the injinji toe socks - most are made primarily of coolmax (which wicks much like polypro) or a wicking polyester;my top pic: in white: Injinji Men's Sport Original Weight Micro Performance Toe Socksin black: Injinji Men's Sport Original Weight Micro Performance Toe Socksfor a little lighter weight, yet still a great wicking base toe sock; Injinji 2.0 Men's Run Lightweight No Show Toesocks, Black, Largethinner yet and one that wicks just like HH LIFA polypro; Injinji 2.0 Men's Liner Crew Toesocks, Gray, Largelast, but certainly not least, a nice lite to mid weight toe wicker; Injinji 2.0 Men's Run Lightweight No Show Toesocks, Black, Largecombine one of these socks with HH polypro LIFA top & bottom along with a HH LIFA balaclava, and you are all set for very cold weather cycling or sport of your choice!; Helly Hansen HH Dry Balaklava, Black, STDstill, Fascot makes some excellent toe socks and they are getting a lot of use!though i would use one of the Injinji toe socks above for ~10°F, i would not hesitate wearing them out in 30°F weather!very pleased... They go on easy, stay in place, and hold up well. after wearing them for about 20 minutes I don’t even notice I have them on anymore. That is how comfortable they are. I can actually wear these with my Vibram toe shoes, my boots, work boots, and my dress shows. These are a very versatile sock. When I wear them when I run I notice my feet don’t get as sweaty as they do in other socks. They allow me to get a better feel of the road and increase my performance on the track. I have read in some of the other reviews that people had issues with the material not holding up but I am not seeing it. I wear them 15-20 hours a day and have washed them 10-20 times so far and have no fading or shrinking as of yet. They still look like they are brand new. I love them and will be buying more.I only wish I could get 4,6,9 sets all in one color. I love the one red pair but you can only get them in the 6 pair mixed set.
