If you look at the photo's, the fanny pack is well built with wide think straps and a big buckle. The fanny pack feels weird when worn as a backpack because of the thick waist straps. In theory these packs are ideal: lightweight, versatile, modular, and waterproof; however in practice they fall flat.It has been a month and a half since I began putting these packs into use. In my first week they worked as beach packs while on vacation. Once I returned home, I began using them as lightweight running packs to carry my notebook, wallet, keys, phone, windbreaker, and chargers. The only time I used them was when I ran home from work (once a week). The first thing I noticed was that the packs were not in fact waterproof. After my fourth run (5 weeks after I received the pack) the left shoulder strap ripped. I assumed that this was a fluke and gave the benefit of the doubt to Hopsooken. I then borrowed my girlfriend's pack the following week for my run home, and noticed that her right strap was also fraying and due to break soon.I was by no means pushing the limits of this pack, nor was I using it frequently.
