I do not have any other microphone to compare this with, but the improvement in sound quality is evident vs. the built-in phone mic (iPhone X). If you are a vlogger, travel vlogger, podcaster, or plan to conduct an interview, this is a great microphone. Makes outdoor recording so much better, the sound crisper, and clearer. 5/5 stars. I worked well when tested it and actually made a video with it. I put it in the case that came with it then put it away. When I wanted to make a video using it again it did not pick up on the mic at all. The recording was coming from my phone and not the mic.
