I tried hard to like this pair of pants

*by S***Y on Reviewed in the United States 🇺🇸 on February 28, 2015*

First off, I am 5'9", 34" waist and 33" or so inseam... I would say I am of average size. When the pants arrived, I was amazed at the quality of the product but when I put them on, I discovered many design flaws that made it less than idea! I have read other reviewers and none seem to have similar issues as I have experienced so I will just list my personal opinion of the product.First off, when I put my legs into the pants, I discovered the fine mesh lining that hard way! I slipped one foot in and found my foot being trapped inside the very baggy mesh lining. The lining is only sewn on near the top, around the pockets and at the cuffs of the pants, and that meant the material itself is loose from the hip down; if the lining is also sewn along the length of the seams, it would have been great and perfect but the way it is now, every time I put on the pants, it's like struggling into mesh laundry bag. I do not have any other pants that I need to feed my foot in first, and adjust it along the way all the way down the pants legs to the cuff opening before I could pull the pants leg up. I tried and after a week of struggling with the pair of pants, after taking it to a tailor to see if he could remedy the product, and knowing the return expense would be far greater than the pants themselves, I took a pair of scissor and cut off the lining from the waist down. I hate doing that as I did like the mesh lining but the daily struggles were just too annoying for me.And as I have stated in the beginning, I am 34" and I ordered the medium. It was tight on me and if I don't pull a nylon belt on tight, the snap would pop off from time to time at the waist. Meanwhile the pant legs are about two inches too long for me and the tailor said he could do nothing about that either. The hook n loop tabs were fine but they could have extended further back, so the lower pants legs could be clinched tighter. I felt like I should be blousing this pair of pants like I did with my uniforms into a pair of boots, and that's not the way I would like to wear these. Finally, the waist of the pants are partially lined with a rubbery fabric, I guess to prevent it from slipping; that's all fine and well if I tug my shirts into the pants. But seeing the pants are already tight on me, I would wear my T-shirt outside. Bad choice as I found the rubbery fabric irritated my skin where contacted! I don't think I am allergic to what might be latex but it is uncomfortable and as such, I could only wear the pants for short period of time.I tried hard to like this pair of pants but in the end, I went back to ordering another pair of ZOIC Black Market Convertible cycling pants for twice the amount but well worth it. The last pair of ZOIC lasted me over three years of regular wear while this pair will see the inside of a drawer more often than sunlight.

You get what you pay for...

*by J***D on Reviewed in the United States 🇺🇸 on April 12, 2017*

Pros:They keep your legs dryIt was cheap. Like, half the price of any other options.Cons:Internal netting is comically baggy. Forget quickly throwing these pants on and hopping on your bike. You'll have to carefully maneuver your feet through what seems like an endless amount of folds and clumps of netting to get them on correctly. Do it wrong and it'll feel like there's no foot hole at all. The first time I tried to put them on I nearly face planted. The crotch is baggy. For biking pants, you kind of want a tighter fit so the fabric doesn't clip the seat. The legs are pretty baggy, too. No sleek commuter bike look here. Think closer to MC Hammer. With all of this baggy talk, you might say to yourself, "hey, reviewer! Just order a smaller size, dummy!" If only, dear reader. The waist surprisingly runs small. I have a size 31 waist and ordered the small originally (suggested 30-32) and I couldn't get it close to buttoning. The medium (32-34) is somewhat large. Maybe manufacturing inconsistencies. Who knows.Summary:I wish I spent more on a different, higher quality pair of pants. But, I don't wish that so much that I go through the trouble of returning these. I'll just put them on every morning it's raining and sigh heavily as I clumsily try to get my feet through the pant legs, failing and face planting in dramatic fashion.

Great rain pants [especially for the price]

*by G***K on Reviewed in the United States 🇺🇸 on December 15, 2014*

I've had these a couple of weeks now. They arrived much sooner than advertised, and so far work VERY well at keeping me dry in even torrential rain. I'm very happy with them, especially for the price. Sure there are some things I would change about them, like some wider/longer velcro on the ankle closures, maybe some of the grippy elastic that they have on the waist could be used on the ankles as well, to hug your shoes/boots better. The only other [minor] complaint so far would be the zipper opening. My last pair zipped all the way from the top AND bottom, so they were very easy to take off and put on, whereas these take a little more finesse, especially in boots, to guide your foot through the mesh lining. But again, I'm very happy with them, especially for what a good deal they are. [and multiple people have already purchased some on my recommendation!]
