So I bought this TAOPE sensor, which is far cheaper than Wahoo sensor, but surprisingly it can be recognized by Wahoo app. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Very capable, connectible, affordable unit for speed *by S***T on Reviewed in the United States on July 26, 2019* I seldom ever give a product a five star review, but this unit exceeded my expectations and enabled me to get more value from my Sunny Spin Bike (BC1002) with the 49lb fly wheel. I've owned the Wahoo cadence and Tickr sensors for years, which work with the bike, but I've long wanted a sensor to measure distance. Wahoo doesn't support its speed sensor on exercise bikes, which meant that I needed to find a non-Wahoo one. Well-packaged, the sensor arrived in great shape. Setup was a snap. The most pleasant surprise was how quickly the Wahoo Fitness and Strava apps recognized and connected with the sensor. I attached the sensor just above the hub of the flywheel with velcro, waited a few hours for the adhesive to set, then got on the bike, pedaled a few times to wake up the sensor, and I began clocking distance and speed. The Wahoo Fitness app allows you to input wheel circumference. I calculated mine by measuring the wheel's diameter (18" approx.) then multiplied by pi to get circumference in inches, and then multiplied by 25.4 to convert the circumference to millimeters. Wahoo's app provides a table of wheel sizes, I picked one that was close to my measurement. For my spinning needs, ballpark results are good enough for speed and distance. I'm more particular about heart rate and cadence. Although I prefer Wahoo Fitness, other available fitness apps provide similar functionality. All told, my kludged collection of Wahoo and Taope sensors, combined with the Wahoo Fitness app, enabled me to turn my dumb spin bike into an intelligent one, supplying data I want at an extremely reasonable price. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great Product For My Stationary Cycle *by L***R on Reviewed in the United States on July 22, 2019* Bought 2 of these for 1 stationary cycle. Taped 1 to flywheel using double-sided tape tape acting as a speed sensor. Mounted other on pedal arm acting as cadence sensor. Both sensors connecting to my Garmin Instinct through Ant+ with no issues and no disruptions. Now my "Bike Indoor" activity records speed, distance, and cadence stats. I have a speedo on my stationary cycle that I referenced to calibrate the speed sensor on my Instinct watch by adjusting the wheel size within the watch's sensors settings. The instructions are easy to follow to set the sensor to be either a speed or a cadence sensor. Battery that comes with product is good.
