The type and color of the dark grey fabric was a perfect match for my 1989 F250 .

Purchased to replace the falling headliner on my 1989 F250 . Had my doubts color would match original. Material arrived on time and I was happy to see the color and type of material was a perfect match. Removed headliner scraped off old foam with putty knife and lightly sanded to clean surface completely. Rough cut material made some index marks on overlapping fabric to position once glue was applied. Use a high quality spray glue that is heat resistant and made for headliners, coat both surfaces evenly let dry to touch you can use small sticks or dowels to space off fabric from headliner backer . Space sticks a inch apart on backer . The headliner backer should be on a bench so you can do the install cleanly . With sticks on backer lay fabric on top of sticks ,depending on the size of your headliner in may take two people so you can lay it on sticks without pushing sticks around and fabric sticking when you don't want it to. Adjust fabric to line up marks from your prefit , now pull out 2 sticks from the center of headliner and let fabric touch backer it will be stuck. The trick to a nice job is you want the fabric to lay down in a relaxed state you do not want to pull and tug and you don't want to pull it up once it is down. If you use a new bondo spreader 8 inches wide this works well have your helper gently lift one half of fabric just high enough to pull the sticks out from one side of the center that is already down now start laying it down slowly as you do , use the bondo spreader to lay it out flat work from center out when you reach areas with contours or corners hopefully common sense will tell you how to deal with those areas. Then repeat on other half use a new razor blade to trim overhanging fabric. Note if you don't want your headliner to look like raw pizza dough that a little kid poked there fingers all over ,use a tool to lay it down flat in a relaxed state. It will look as good as factory maybe even better. You can also use paper instead of sticks but it should be large pieces of heavy paper like butcher or craft paper because you do not want the paper hanging up on glue when you pull it out and tear paper stuck between fabric and backer could be a real bummer!

A perfect match for GM vehicles

*by D***G on Reviewed in the United States on September 10, 2019*

Ordered this for my 1995 Camaro convertible. There is a small area on the windshield header that has fiberboard headliner. It was a perfect match! Both in color and grain (or weave?). It was easy to peel off the old material and brush off the old foam backing (use a “Dollar Store” brush) and clean up the bare fiberboad backing. Use a automotive grade spray contact cement and follow the directions on the can. I used the 3M Super Trim Adhesive #8090. Cut the material over size and spray both surfaces evenly. Let dry for 5-10 minutes. Join both surfaces together and carefully trim the edges and cutouts.

    Nice headliner fix

This is what I was looking for to fix my 96 Jeep Cherokee headliner. It looks like new again. Just make sure to watch some how to videos to make sure you mount it correctly.
