Review: Nut free, OU kosher, and delightful! - It's 10 days until Hanukkah and I needed chocolate gelt so despite the bad experience of other reviewers, I took a chance and ordered 4 boxes of these chocolate coins. I could not find any other brand that was both kosher and nut free. Upon arrival, I opened one from each of the boxes. The candy appeared fresh (no white-ish overbloom or freezer burn) and tasted great. Smooth, mild, milk chocolate flavor. Is the chocolate as good as See's candy (my fave)? No. Do I wish there were more than 4 coins? Sure. Did the kids at our event love them? Absolutely! I plan to order a couple more boxes. Jerusalem of Gold coins (made in Holland) and desertcart hit it out of the park on this one IMHO.

A: Hi Bobbi, it doesn't say Gluten Free. Ingredients: sugar, whole milk powder, cocoa butter, unsweetened chocolate, whey powder (milk) soy lecithin (emulsifier), natural vanilla flavor. Cocoa solids 28% minimum, milk solids 16% minimum.

**Q: How many do they come in each bag and they are different sizes or one size**
A: Each mesh bag contains 5 assorted sized coins.

**Q: What currency is printed on the gold foil?  are they israeli coins?  dutch?  united states?**
A: They are made in Holland and on one side there is a wall with the wording Jerusalem of Gold printed on it and on the other side of the coins there is a picture of a Menorah.

**Q: Can someone please list the ingredients?**
A: These ingredients have changed! This now contains Sunflower Lecithin. The product description says soy. The seller needs to update the product description.

I could not find any other brand that was both kosher and nut free. Upon arrival, I opened one from each of the boxes. The candy appeared fresh (no white-ish overbloom or freezer burn) and tasted great. Smooth, mild, milk chocolate flavor. Is the chocolate as good as See's candy (my fave)? No. Do I wish there were more than 4 coins? Sure. Did the kids at our event love them? Absolutely! I plan to order a couple more boxes. Jerusalem of Gold coins (made in Holland) and Amazon hit it out of the park on this one IMHO.

I got the exact product as pictured. And it's honestly the best gelt I've ever had!! The chocolate is of good quality, the gold foil wrapping is beautiful and perfect for playing the dreidel game, which is exactly our plans for it! The price is just as good if not actually BETTER than the prices for chocolate coins that I've seen at places like Walmart or a regular grocery store, and as I mentioned earlier, they DEFINITELY taste better. It was well worth the research to find these on Amazon.
