What I CAN say is that the size fit correctly for me, they were secure when I put them on (I never had to readjust them during a ride), and the extra material did not make me hot at all. In fact, I felt that these were very breathable. Sometimes pads get hot. These did not. While I never went OTB or slid out with these on, the padding is well constructed and feels like it could take a smack against a rock or tree.
