The main reason for buying this is the Rodent Proof promise. Let me tell you, the rats climb in and snack away, and poop in the feed. I think it's easier for them to feed than the open feeder I had. It does hold a good amount of feed, and I don't think the rain could get in, but do not purchase if you are concerned about sharing the feed with rodents. 50 bucks, wasted. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Keeps Feed Dry and Reduces Waste *by E***A on Reviewed in the United States on August 6, 2019* These have been a blessing. We were using the ground feeders (the circular based tubs with all the holds for food...you know what I'm talking about if you have chickens), and the amount of wasted feed was getting out of hand. We decided on these over other similar brands if for no other reason than we liked the green color to plain white PVC. We've had them up for a week now and there is virtually no wasted feed! We have a mixed flock of chickens, turkeys and ducks and they all eat from these without issue. We also had a couple storms and none of the feed got wet. My only complaint is that I wish the mounting brackets had come already drilled. As it is, it is up to you to drill into these to put on the mounting brackets.
