## Description

YourBell - Door chime that plays MP3 files. There is no limit to the size of the MP3 files. If a full length sound file is saved to the memory card then the whole song will play. It is recommended that the sound files be edited to 5 - 15 seconds. This makes talking to your visitor easier. The YourBell comes equipped with a 10 Watt amplifier and a 3 1/2 inch co-axial speaker to produce excellent sound quality. There is a volume control to easily adjust the YourBell audio output to match your home. Tha amplifier is capable of driving two 8 ohm satellite speakers. This will work well in multi level homes, adding a speaker in the basement or perhaps placing a speaker outdoors for your company to enjoy. There are four inputs. Inputs 1 & 2 support push buttons lighted by an incandescent bulb or an LED. Inputs 3 & 4 support push buttons lighted by an LED only. Each input can respond to a Normally Open (NO) or Normally Closed (NC) contact input. Each input can be set to act as a button input, be dedicated to selecting the current season or dedicated to reset the Yourbell. These features are set by the owner by making changes to folders on the MicroSD card. There are 26 folders that hold sound files in similar groups, seasons or occasions. Each of these folders contains 4 folders that represent each input. This allows the user to set up sound files for Christmas, Halloween, football season, spring, summer etc. The current season is selected using any input set to be a button input or dedicated to season selection. 1 - 255 MP3 files can be added to any input folderA simple drag & drop or cut & paste is all that is needed to add or remove sound files to/from the MicroSD card. The YourBell will work with most video door buttons including the Ring, Nest and the SkyBell.

Not simple to install with a video doorbell

*by A***E on Reviewed in the United States on March 23, 2019*

First I want to say this review is NOT to slam this doorbell. If you install this doorbell correctly you will LOVE this doorbell! The quality is outstanding. And it's miles beyond any other comparable products. There's absolutely nothing at all wrong with it. However, if I were to be 100% truthful, it could stand a few improvements that I'd happily have paid more for. 1. It should have a simple hidden switch to change seasons preinstalled. Unless I misread the instructions this would have to be installed separately. Not a big deal but when you buy a doorbell with this much capability, it seems incomplete without it. And I honestly don't want to have to go back and figure out how to put it in later. 2. It's not easy quite so easy to hang. Again not a big deal, in my case I had to add a picture frame wire to the back because where it hangs it would easily fall off the wall if someone shut the door hard and it would fall on your head if it came off while walking through. 3. This to me is more of a big deal. Someone buying a doorbell this nice is likely installing it with a video doorbell I'd think. It should be sold with the adapter for video doorbells. I'd happily pay more in advance for that as well. 4. This one is the biggest deal and only applies to someone installing a video doorbell. The Nest Hello and others run on 16 volts to 30 volts. And they also tend to work poorly at 16 volts. If you dig around online you'll find quite a few complaints over that. So you'll need higher voltage transformer. But that's where you have a problem. The doorbell will only accept 16 volts. This means a second transformer, and extra wire have to be run(one for the Nest and one for the doorbell). Depending on your installation, this can be a massive pain in the butt. The maker should really look into a circuit to take that same range of voltage as an add on device on the input side. They do this on tons of stuff now. In fact a lot of wall transformers you buy have removable prongs that allow it to be plugged into a variety of countries wall power and it will still put out the same power. It would be well worth the additional cost as well.I look at it this way. The Nest Hello is not cheap, in fact all high end video doorbells are fairly expensive. And this doorbell is EVERY BIT the quality of a Nest Hello, except only with a little extra work. But anyone buying a video doorbell is the same person that will pay more for this to be as simple of an installation as possible. That's my two cents.Again, I very much love this doorbell. It's fabulous. I also seldom write detailed raving reviews, and I suppose this one isn't either. But I cannot be happier with the build quality of the bell. The person who complained about the connector not fitting 16 gauge wire has an odd complaint. The connectors aren't shoddy in the least. They're industry standard for the size wire a doorbell is supposed to use. You can't fault the manufacturer because you chose to use non-standard wire. The speaker tone and quality is extremely good. And there's even a volume knob to adjust it to a level you prefer. I'm thoroughly impressed with the sound. It's nice.

    Great look, tough instructions

*by M***E on Reviewed in the United States on May 13, 2020*

Classiest looking doorbell housing I've seen; refined case, really nice. The sound quality is *excellent*, clear, crisp, reverberating through the house. I have played with music clips, sound effects (wind chime, geese) and more and they all work. Comes with 10 pre-selected music clips which may or may not be to your taste. It is difficult to program, however, walking through an arcane set of commands and sequences to get to where you need to be. You need to get to the startup where the box announces (Where's The Kaboom?) - which also happens with every power failure, an annoyance at 3AM. Then you need to push the doorbell for the right amount of time within a specified time frame and, well, let's just say you an get there but it's not designed for the faint of heart.Likewise wiring it requires you to understand a (simple) electrical diagram and wire it as to whether you have 120v AC in the box or not, connect two slide-on connectors and hope you don't burn something out. Again not impossible but not easy for the uninitiated and something that could have been better explained in the instructions.I would give five stars except for the difficulty in programming it. I probably should have given it only 3 stars except I love having it; the frustration turns out - in the end - to be worth it.

Nice 'Chime' announcer. Wire connections need help.

*by O***T on Reviewed in the United States on June 30, 2017*

Nice wood finish. Solid box. The motherboard connections to the doorbell button and power is shotty. It's a little (terminal block) strip of plastic with small wire push-in with a tension screw to clamp the wire for each connection. But, if you have a 16 or larger wire, it doesn't fit well. Since I had already wired the house with 16 gauge single-stranded wire (instead of multiple small strands wrapped in each wire sheath). I used a 'butt splice' connector from my single stranded 16 gauge wire to a short length 18 gauge wire and connected that to the block.
