It was easy to install. We did not use the provided top gasket as it was too thick for our sink. We used plumber's putty instead. We also used silicone caulk around all joints at installation so we have no idea if this item would have leaked if installed as the enclosed instructions stated. The drain looks beautiful and the pop-up works exactly the way it is supposed to. I will update this review if anything changes but for now we are very impressed with the quality and the price. Review: Very nice quality, recommend didn't need plumbers putty - Nice quality, doesn't leak, I didn't need to use plumber's putty or pipe joint compound. It's sealed up perfectly just using the rubber gaskets that it came with. Nice positive snap action on the drain. Far superior to the piece of junk that came with the Kohler faucet that was plastic. If it lasts this is five stars all day long and I'll replace them on my other Kohler plastic pop-ups with this unit as I like it a lot. Also we have the chrome finish I know others complained about the painted finish off.
