I can fit my 3mm regular mat and also my larger and wider mat in with room to spare. It's very big and baggy for a single yoga mat, and I found the material - fairly coarse cotton canvas - rather rough. I had hoped to use it to carry a yoga mat while riding a bike but it would move about too much because it's so big and baggy. A disappointment, particularly given other people's positive reviews.
