The shoes performed well for nearly two months before the left one began to allow water to somehow seep inside. I assume the sole had separated or something, but they allowed my foot to get wet during a downpour. Because they are brand new I thought if I contacted Tretorn customer service they would simply replace them. NO. At first I was told to contact Amazon since I purchased them here. But Amazon's short return time had passed. Back to Tretorn. I called, the woman was very nice and emailed me a form to fill out which I hoped might get me replacements. It asked several questions on where I purchased them, how much, size, the problem, etc... Then it asked for photographs of the shoes, obviously to show any damage or a possible flaw in the shoes. I followed everything, sent the photos along with the questions to Tretorn in an email as requested. I received a reply that stunned me. Basically, because they could not see any flaw with the shoe, nothing was offered other than an apology for the problem! Are you kidding me? THE LEFT SHOE LEAKS, they're brand new. Hello, direct me to send them in, test them, then make a decision. But no. I will NEVER purchase from Tretorn again due to this egregious lack of customer service by that company. I would also urge all of you reading this to heed what I wrote here before purchasing from them. If a company is not willing to stand by their product then they don't deserve to stay in business. I thought Tretorn was a better company than this... ### ⭐⭐⭐ Boot failed after 13 months of use *by A***K on Reviewed in the United States on April 14, 2018* I really liked these boots *while they lasted.* I live in the wet Pacific NW and they keep my feet warm and dry. I wore them on a trip to the Baltics in December and had them on almost daily on long walks. The problem is that now, a year and month from when I bought them, the upper on my right boot has a tear. It is on top of the shoe, a bit to the side, just in front of the laces and in the spot where the shoe flexes during a stride. Now they are not water proof which was the whole point in buying them. It would seem to me that boots should last longer than 13 months especially since I do not often wear them, particularly in the warm half of the year. ### ⭐ Poor quality; multiple splits; soaked socks *by N***K on Reviewed in the United States on December 10, 2017* Wore them less than a dozen times just walking to work (no heavy duty outdoor activities) and they split so bad that I can no longer wear them without my socks getting soaked.
