I wanted the kids to be able to paint the white roses Red along with some other crafts I put together to try to make my daughters Birthday Party as fun as it could be since she'd broken her leg at school the week before & we couldn't hold her party at the park where the kids could play this year. I opened 2 of the poms with 1 side flat, glued the flat sides together & hot glued a wooden dowel I'd screwed into a tin bucket I bought from the dollar store to make a mini replica of the rose bushes in Alice in Wonderland. Not all the roses ended up Red, but the girls All had fun & I think it might start a trend of having her friends do at least 1 craft at her birthday parties. These pompoms Are really nice & big & the quality is awesome for the price.
