I was super excited, I have wanted to write with a fountain pen. When I started using it, I FELL IN LOVE! So smooth, great grip and no skips. So impressed, I started searching for other fountain pens I could fall in love with.This pen, however, is NOT it! From the first few letters it was skipping like crazy. I had the converter in, I thought maybe that was the issue. Nope, still skips with a cartridge. Speaking of the converter, it sure runs out of ink VERY QUICKLY!!! One ink fill for the converter, 5 pages written, thats it! Not paying this kind of money to refill every 5 pages.The size of the barrel was too small as well. I like a bit thiker barrel, which allows for better control. I could probably deal with the barrel size, IF it did not skip.I will be returning the 2 pens that are not Faber-Castell and buy 2 that are.Review edit: I have given this pen some more time, and I guess that’s what it needed. In the last week or so, about a dozen pages of writing, the skipping has come to an almost halt. Every now and then, mostly I think with the angle I am writing at, does it skip a stroke. Other than that, really enjoying it. I never understood a “break in” period for a pen was needed until a read another review. Looks like that was the trick it needed.
