It adds something different to the other two. I like to get information from more than one source, especially if I'm trying to treat myself. I haven't found anything contradictory, but rather it adds to other information. I highly recommend.

This book is awesome!! I almost did not buy it bc of the last time it was updated. I'M SO GLAD I GOT IT. To me, the information is just as relevant today as when it was published. It reads almost like a dictionary. Terms are defined, plants properties are explained, and ailments are described and different treatment methods are provided. This is one of my top three books. It adds something different to the other two. I like to get information from more than one source, especially if I'm trying to treat myself. I haven't found anything contradictory, but rather it adds to other information. I highly recommend.

I am a registered nurse and becoming interested in herbal medicine. I firmly belive combining herbal medicine and modern medicine gives you the very best results. For example for colds and flu viruses I have used Lysine, vitamin c and zinc and without fail the severity and duration of the virus is lessened, because those supplements affect the virus cell wall and improve your own immune response. This book is written like a nursing drug guide, but with the disease or condition being the key search and then corresponding herbals to use. What has impressed me the most is the the amount of ingredients to use, such as grams or milligrams. The back of the book explains how to source the supplements and equipment needed. This book will be an invaluable resource. As a nurse I firmly believe at some point the USA Healthcare system will collapse and in the current political climate, I want alternative resources to medicines for my family. I belive with every fiber of my being books have value and want to make sure I have a crisis book shelf and this is an important book to add to that list of books that are vital to have
