I was able to get the shoes clean, but the laces were a pain and were getting worn. These were the perfect solution! They came perfectly bright white and are thick but not too thick. They are also durable, the replacement laces lasted me a few years before I put in the other pair in the set. I was looking for a little wider lace because I feel that they look better on my shoes and also stay tied better.These say they are 1/4 inch and if you stretch them out fully they are 1/4 inch, but when new and unstretched they are 3/8" which is perfect for what I wanted. I know someone else rated them badly because they were wider, but once you tie your shoe the finished width is the smaller measurement. At any rate I think they look great and that tiny stretch helps them to stay tightly tied without having to double knot them.They come two to a package in a ziplock package. Each one has a little paper wrap around it. The size is marked on the outside of the package.I highly recommend these!
