However, I do think the hose bonnet attachment could be better, because sometimes the hose detaches and I have to turn this dryer off so I can re-attach it to the bonnet. As I stated previously this dryer gets hot! so if you have very thick or long hair you shouldn't have any issues with getting your hair dry. However because the highest setting is extremely hot, I would be very careful using this dryer with children. I think it could burn their scalp or ears. if you are using this with a child please do not use the highest setting. If I used to blow dryer (25 mins) to completely dry my hair, I ended up with blown out & frizzy hair not my natural curly hair. Then it took another 15 mins to fix/style back in my curls. When I saw this dryer it reminded me of the 1960's portable hair cap dryer my mom and aunts used to use. May look funny but it really worked then. I decided to give this current version a try. I'm glad I did! Dries my hair in about 15 min. My curls and waves are preserved - no frizziness! I used it about 5 times before I wrote up this review. Comes in a nice sleek design, not heavy and when done using, all parts can be tucked back with in it. Cap fits well over my head and there is a drawstring in the cap to securely keep in hair. Wearing curlers should not be a problem. 4 different heat settings, I use the HOT. There are times where I have to adjust my cap or turn down heat for comfort from this heat. I found at times that the hose didn't stay in the cap - whoa, this may be an issue. But I found that if I twist the hose before I put into the cap, the force of the hose trying to untwist, keeps it in. Another tip I have when using this product - make sure the hose is in a position where the air can enter the cap freely - where the cap expands like a balloon. I was sitting there once with a flat HOT cap and my hair was not drying wondering if this product really works. It was me that not working. I love this dryer- dries my hair nicely. But the reality is that the hose falls out of the bonnet often if you move your head even in the slightest. It's a substantial flaw in this product...but I still manage to use it. **Q: would this work with 2 inch rollers?** A: The bonnet is plenty big enough for 2" rollers so the issue would be the opening. My sister reports she has never used 2" rollers so she would only be guessing that you could get the opening over the large rollers. It does open up fairly wide though and loosens and tightens with a cord. **Q: How do you open the dryer???** A: It doesn't open. Everything is located on the outside. :) **Q: Do this product work for deep conditioning?** A: Sorry, I just can't recommend it. Have already returned it, and am in search of another. Laila Ali only has her name on the product, nothing else. Dryer Weight: This bonnet dryer is extremely compact and very light weight making it easy to carry around out of the home if need be. Loudness: I've never used any hair dryer that was remotely quiet, however this dryer is one of the loudest I've used to date. Heat: High is very hot and will dry your hair in a short amount of time, however for me it is far too hot so I don't use it. Medium is also hot but not any where near as hot as hot. It will take much longer to dry on this setting but it is way more comfortable to use. Bonnet: There is a draw string on the bonnet that adjust quiet easily to any head size. When in use, the bonnet puffs up much like microwave popcorn, filling with heated air. Because the bonnet can get hot all around, it is best to have a damp towel on your neck to prevent any skin from burning on the neck. Hose: The hose connects to the bonnet in the back and with movement can come out. You do not need to tape the bonnet hose down as with limited movement it will stay in place. Time to dry with rollers: N/A I have not used the dryer for such purposes yet due to my hair being natural and it won't cooperate well with such styling. Overall for the price this is a pretty well made hair dryer. If taken care of properly it can last quite some time. I've purchased other products by belson and never had complaints with their quality.
