They are a lighter weave, more of a dressier sock to wear with office attire. They are thin, baggy, definitely not wool, socks with a tight elastic top, to keep the thin baggy socks from falling off your feet. They are the complete opposite of the thick wool socks described, and incredibly disappointing. The colors weren't bad, but that is the only nice thing I can say. The only use I can think of is cutting the toes out to make scrunchies, or using over your hand when dusting.
