Tried various knitted hats/beanies but they've always turned out either itchy or a bit too small - I have a fairly large head (23 1/4").Tempted to try this one as I liked the sound of the fleece lining and thought the neck part was a good idea too. Very glad I did.It took a while to arrive (3 weeks) and turned up in a standard anonymous plastic wrapper, but from that point on everything was golden.The hat fits very nicely, is easily deep enough to be pulled well down on your head covering your ears, while you can also wear it high on the head when you're not fighting arctic temperatures! The fleece lining is very soft and pleasant against the skin. The neck piece is easy to wear too, is as comfortable as the hat and is equally pleasant to wear under the chin or pulled right up to sit just underneath the mouth/nose. With the hat pulled right down and the neck piece pulled right up the two become a very cosy balaclava leaving just a strip of skin around the eyes and nose exposed.The furry fleece lining makes this both warm and pleasant to wear. The two parts can easily be bundled into a pocket when not needed.
