I'm not sure that it has actual PWM passthrough to the additional headers (the non-CPU labelled ones), but either way it works great and the adhesive is strong enough to mount it to the back of my motherboard tray. The sleeved cable and sturdy connector is a nice touch and makes it look neat and stealth inside a well cable managed PC. I would recommend this product. Review: Set the mode to DC fans in the BIOS if you want to control 3 pin fans on this adapter. - Initially my motherboard was detecting the adapter as a PWM fan controller and running any DC connected fans full speed as the adapter has 4 pins but, to fully control DC fans, I just changed the fan mode from PWM to DC in the BIOS and it’s fully controlling the DC connected fans. Working great on NZXT N5 z690 with full DC fan control in NZXT CAM. What does it mean?** A: If your fan is measured in watts (which I think most pc parts are) then Watts is amps x volts so if it was 10 watts and the fan is 12v that would be 10/12 which would be 0.83 amps so in total it can’t be above 2 (adding all your fans up) or your going to be overheating the cables/board etc and you could cause damage or start a fire (This is an explanation of how to work it out It depends on your particular fans) **Q: Can you plug a normal fan into the cpu socket?** A: if you are on about the three pin fan then yes **Q: Can i plug 3 pin fans into the hub?** A: I am sure it fits for 3pin fans **Q: where do i connect it on the fan pin or CPU fan pin** A: It depends on your system and you needs, although the adapter is marked as 'Cpu' + chassis the CPU connection is the master fan-the only one that can report rotation speed-if you plug his into the CPU fan header and into the Cpu fan controller socket than all fans will be driven the same as this fan, if the CPU fan has a separate socket then you can plug this adapter into a chassis fan socket but all fans will get the same voltage/PWM as the first.
