This is a simple digital recorder with record and playback functionality. Deleting on the device is quick and easy. Initially startup to recording time has a big of lag time, so don't expect instantaneous record. However once started, you can hit record from anywhere and it will instantly begin there. I haven't depleted the battery since using it, but I only record 30-1 hour increments at a time, so I suppose that's plus. The file names are easy to get back when transferring via USB. But my favorite part is how crisp the audio is when being recorded! I don't know about music as I didn't use it for that. It's not flimsy and has a weight to it, with glass on the front. This looks really nice, but I dropped it and broke it.. My bad. Hard floor and this device is not a good mix, but saying that, to replace it, I bought the same one again. So it's definitely good. I've taken off a star as it can be a bit annoying deleting recordings on the device as it's not too clear which one you're on until you play it.
