Hence, I'm a glamper and this portable potty has got to be the most luxurious item a glamper could have. When it arrived, the box was pretty beat up so I was expecting to find some type of damage to the unit but the packaging was very well thought out. Corners were all reinforced with above average styrofoam and all components were bubble wrapped then rolled in styrofoam and then taped to the inside of the toilet. I felt the packaging needed to be mentioned since it's so rare to see actual thought put into shipping a package these days. Just my opinion. Putting it together was done in less than 10 minutes. Easy peasy. Instruction sheet was very simple and straightforward. No "insert part A into slot B while simultaneously turning Tab C counterclockwise" crap to interpret. Thankfully, assembling a 2 part toilet didn't become an all day ordeal. I'd read lots and lots of reviews on this toilet before I purchased it, so I wanted to make sure everything worked correctly and I didn't have a lemon. At the campsite I set up a pop-up changing room as my bathroom. I decked it all out with battery operated string lights that turn on/off with a remote control (easy to wake up at 3am, push a button and have a lit bathroom at your disposal in the middle of nowhere!), then added the toilet, filled it with water, added the recommended enzyme packets (side note *you will need to purchase these separately, they do not come with the unit*) flushed it to make sure it worked, added a toilet paper stand for convenience and voila, a fantastic bathroom in the middle of nowhere! My friends were thrilled that we had an actual toilet. And it is STILL the talk of our trip lol. Emptying it at a dump station on the way home went ok, and once home I simply used the hose to rinse it out completely. Removing the batteries in the flush mechanism is probably THE most important part to keeping this thing operating smoothly for future use.
