It's a little heavy so if you apply a very small amount before you flat iron it should be fine. Too much applied before you flat iron I think would weigh your hair down. **Q: Will it work on making hair grow faster and longer?** A: I returned this product. After getting it the box said it could not guarantee product was organic, but this was 2 years ago. that may have changed. What is working for me is a product from Amazon called HAIRFLUENCE. **Q: Does the product contain phenoxyethanol?** A: I sent the product back because it has the preservative parabens which is linked to breast cancer.
