My laptop does seem to be a the cooler side. I do still feel some warmth but nothing dramatic. The thickness of this pad is perfect. Had some trouble connecting it and getting the fans to spin, but I think it's because my laptop's USB ports are getting worn because some of my jump drives are having trouble and the USB mouse dongle sometimes doesn't connect well. So my problem is almost positive.This thing does keep my hot-running Lenovo laptop cooler. Would buy again. I think it's going to last longer than the Walmart laptop coolers I wore out in six months.UPDATE: Sadly this one only lasted 4 months before both usb ports crumbled inside and turned the cooler pad into a dinner tray. Turns out I got a new cable for it and that helped for a while but after a month of it working great, first one USB port on the back of the pad went out, with the white plastic bit breaking off. Then the other port's plastic tab inside also broke off the same way.
