It is not the normal clasp that these types of shoes have, you basically latch one side of the clasp through the other. I'm not sending the shoe back because my event is in 1 day and the show was cheap, but I would not buy it again. The shoe feels somewhat large. I hope the materials hold and the front strap does not stretch out during the course of the event.The material on the shoe seems of good quality, but I'm sure it's man-made. For the price, I'm willing to test them out, but I would not buy them again because of the clasp and the feeling of looseness on a foot. Comfortable heel height and I didn't find the clasp difficult to use. One negative is the packing. The shoes were put together in a mailer without any protection.
