Why, with the amount of Tundras that this product is purchased for, wouldnt this company offer torque down latches that could be made to fit a rail system, is beyond me. Instead, you have to wrestle to unscrew torx screws that may have been exposed to weather and are rusted. What a PITA! The latches themselves are made to hook under the bed top, which is made of plastic. So, if you are counting on this being secured when the tailgate is locked, well, it isn’t. If it was attached to the rails, well...It is worth mentioning, that the production of this top, which I really like, could easily be better if there were secure loops attached to the underside of the cover, so a bike lock type cable could be affixed to the secure truck bed latches. This would allow for a cable lock to secure the bed cover for security AND to prevent the cover from shifting, slightly, which it does from time to time (which I find annoying). A very simple design modification that I can’t believe was overlooked.
