**Q: Is it heat resistant? I want to put it on a fireplace flue**
A: I would buy from a fireplace shop for peace of mind.  These clips are not heavy duty.
Personally I would spend a little extra on stainless steel jubilee clips as a flue clip maybe prone to corrosion.
