I used a good pair of scissors and reading glasses (LOL) and it worked perfectly. By carefully cutting around them, I had no fraying at all. They are so pretty in person. But I wouldn't put all these patches on one garment anyway. The flowers can be cut into smaller pieces and used on several garments or used all together on one. I'll be cutting them and using them both with the matching blue butterfly and alone.
