Product description Mayco's Stroke & Coat glaze Set #1 can be applied to wet clay or bisque pieces, fired from cone 06 to 10, in oxidation or reduction and used with various glazing techniques. Colors are mixable and fire to a gloss finish. Food & Dishwasher safe. This Kit 1 contains 12, 2oz bottles in colors Cotton Tail, Sunkissed, Orange-A-peel, Hot Tamale, Rosey Posey, Grapel, Blue Yonder, Moody Blue, Green Thumb, Irish Luck, Java Bean & Tuxedo. Ingredients No Directions Squeeze the product directly onto wet clay or bisque.

When fired alone, these will become glossy without an additional top glaze. I've used them on their own and with transparent glaze and I've been very happy with the results. They behave predictably like an underglaze, without running during the firing process. They are also food safe so can be used on dinner ware. I'd 100% recommend trying Mayco Stroke and Coats :)

**Q: where is the item made? thanks.**
A: Not sure.  But I and my fellow potters love May o stroke and coat.

**Q: What would happen if you don't fire these and just let them air dry?**
A: They should be fired if you are hand-building or throwing a clay pot.  The undercoat can be used on wet clay or air-dried clay (aka greenware) and then bisque fired in the kiln, or after it is bisque fired brush it on before the final firing.  Otherwise, for example, if you are just putting it on plaster, you can use acrylic paint for that.  But it needs to be fired because it would not be it's true color or it could crack or flake off.
I hope this information helps.

**Q: What cone do they fire to?**
A: These glazes fire to: Cone 06-05 (1828°-1888°F, 998°C-1031°C).

**Q: Can you mix colors**
A: Yes you can mix Mayco Stroke & Coat but I am not sure about mixing other Mayco paints.  I am always making new colors or painting with one color and layering other colors on top of the base color.

Lovely colours and easy to mix so you can experiment and create fabulous colours of your own. Lovely when fired to approx cone 6, haven’t tried hotter yet.
