The 12ft Power Surf is a formidable beast with the oomph to place a 4-6oz lead way beyond the breakers; more subtly, the 9ft Saltwater Spin will accurately put a 20-80g lure among the bass and give you hours of active fishing pleasure. A very stiff rod, feels strong, and will cast the weights it says it will, which is more than can be said for a lot of other rods of this price. It’s a bit heavy, and being a two piece 12 footer it can be difficult to get into cars, but it’s durable and casts well. Nice reflective tip, strong reel seat and screw fitting.I use it with a hunter pro reel and the two are very well balanced and matched for each other.Used the same pic in another review (of the reel), but this is the rod in action. Pulled in 7 thornback ray in a session.

Item arrived fast was well packaged and all guides in tact. Used this for the first time and caught a few 2lb Mackerel on it and handled them no problem great little rod and 4 the price you cant go wrong really.

Very good rod for the price. Used as backup for more expensive rods. Nice & light and well balanced for surf fishing. Leeda do make decent rods so don't think the low price affects quality! Also top marks to Fishtec for prompt delivery & superb packaging!!
