I reached out to the tech support for these cameras and he was fantastic! He specified the minimums I would need, my DVR was not meeting the need. I had to reduce the resolution in the custom setting in order to get the fps where it needed to be (I don't understand the specifics - but my Tigersecu DVR would change the options in the fps drop down menu based on the selection of the resolution).
