One was too small. One way too big. Another smaller one still too big. And then I found this bag and, like the story goes, it was just right.I can put in my gym clothes, a towel, a change of clothes, a lock, and if I need to, a pair of gym shoes in the main compartment. I put my shower and shaving stuff in a plastic carry bag in one of the side pockers, and a pair of flip-flops in the other side pocket. So far I have not had need to use the front pocket, but I would guess to keep papers or cards or something it would work fine. And the whole thing is easy to carry, either with the shoulder strap or the hand carry, and it fits perfectly in the gym locker.Could it gain from another inch or two of width? I suppose, but then it would verge on one of those bags I found to be too big.The bag is well made and seems durable, and doesn't require much attention. The color scheme is unobtrusive and attractive. The only very minor problem I have had with the bag is that one of the little cloth pull-ties on one of the zippers has come off a couple of times, and I've had to tie it back on. No biggie.I don't know why it has become so hard to find just ordinary, functional gym bags any more, but this one fills the bill very well.
