The ipad fits in case nice and tight and wakes keyboard when stood in position on the magnetic strip and is excellent. When you close it all goes to sleep. Its light so easy to take with me, and if I need the keyboard n ipd for say an emoji, I just disconnect from magnetic strip for a moment. If there is a downside I suppose the fact you can only use in landscape mode would be it, sometimes I do need portrait and for that you have to lay it flat .......I also didnt get any instructions but so simple and easy dont really need them. Yet you don't want to compromise size. While getting Chiclet keyboard with normal shift keys. Then this is the right fit. Magnets are strong when closed.Also when opened. To the point when it's on your lap, it won't fall back or disconnect. The only thing that prevents me from giving it 5 stars. I feel it needs some additional magnets when it's opened flat and your not using the keyboard. Just to hold it down.
