The plastic is too thick that you can't use the finger print scanner.The time is on the phone screen, not inside the case. The phone can't tell if the case is open or closed, so you touch your phone and it changes to it's lock screen. As one of the other reviewers stated, I believe you should expect finger prints on a case like this. What bothered me the most is the advertised feature that the phone wakes up when you open the case. I've had a more expensive flip cover/case before and this feature worked great. On this case, I couldn't get it to work at all (after 30 plus attempts over a few days). Other then that, for the price, the case is ok quality.
