I use it for a lot of foods dry and wet. **Q: Is this oil based and able to be mixed in small amounts to a muscle rub/ balm for a heating effect?** A: It is made to be mixed in with foods, I dont recommend mixing in with a rub for sore muscles, it has no heating affect to the skin unless applied to sensitive areas and even then it is a burning affect not heating **Q: I'm looking for a clear hot sauce to put on wood and furniture to deter puppy chewing. Is this clear and hot enough?** A: It has a slight red hue. if undiluted it would cause significant pain for a couple hours. I suppose you could mix a drop with furniture oil to dilute it. Keep in mind there is a chance of cross contamination especially if children touch the bottom of the furniture and then touch their eyes. I use this for off label purposes as well and cross contamination is a definite problem. **Q: Could I mix this with an oil paint to use on plastic sprinkler stands to stop squirrels from chewing?** A: I don’t think you’d need to mix it into the paint. Just apply after the paint has dried.
