I bought this because it fits one (two at most) standard size travel notebook and came with the "to do list" insert, which is what I wanted to use it for. It's nice and slim, not bulky like the usual travel journals with multiple inserts, and easily slips into a purse or backpack. Various types of travel journal inserts are widely available online, making it easy to customize as I wish. I liked it so much I went back and bought 2 more covers in each of the other colors - one in which I put a bullet journal insert, and the other in which I put blank paper for drawing. All three easily fit together in my purse with less bulk than a standard travel journal containing all 3 inserts, and I can pull out whichever one I want to use. I love that they hold just one insert, which means there are no other papers in the way of what I'm working on. Makes it easy to draw, write, etc. anywhere, anytime. I add a simple zipper pouch with a few pens & pencils and I'm set to go.
